Abstract: <p>The seed oil of Carapa guianensis, known as Crabwood oil (CWO) and its fractionation was studied, focussing on chemical composition and physicochemical functionality. Compounds never reported before in CWO were identified, including limonoids such as Trichillin, ketostearic and hydroxyoleic acids.
