The regional history of Peterborough County and the War of 1812

Abstract

In keeping with Lang Pioneer Village's mission statement of preserving, promoting and authentically recreating the rural history of the Peterborough County, this project has documented the historical connection between the area and the War of 1812. Though the Peterborough area was not the site of any recorded acts during the conflict, several questions have been answered in regards to its impacts on the local history.
