Older Worker Stories

Abstract

This report presents the main results from the qualitative and exploratory study of the sustainability of manufacturing and health care workers 55+ in the Peterborough area during 2010. The purpose of the study was to identify and investigate labour market challenges and opportunities confronted by workers at the back end of their careers when work-time is extending, responsibilities are piling up, the public pension is under revision and the job market is under pressure.
