The purpose of this research is to create an interactive exhibit/display that will educate grade five students about solar energy. This research investigates the characteristics which make a successful interactive display; one in which [sic] is accessible to all visitors and keeps the user motivated and interested to learn.

This paper documents the function and benefits of outdoor interpretive exhibits. A proposed bird ecology interpretive exhibit is discussed in detail building on resources that are all ready in place at Camp Kawartha.
