Jamaica debt and development: party politics, foreign policy and debt negotiations
The goal of the project was to research and analyze issues related to development in Jamaica, focusing on the history of the Jamaican international debt, past development strategies in Jamaica, the consequences of the debt for current social development programs, and development alternatives currently in place in Jamaica. The goal of the workshop is to provide a historical context of colonialism in Jamaica; open a discussion on the impacts of the colonial legacy specific to poverty and education.
