The Kawartha World Issues Centre (KWIC) Schools Program is a group of volunteers who create global issues based workshops to be presented in local area classrooms. Relatively little has been written about this program and nothing was found in the KWIC files regarding how to contact interested teachers, how [sic] recruit volunteers, or even how to create workshops and what types of material should be included.

The purpose of this project is to primarily inventory those lands previously identified as being historically or culturally significant by township or heritage group officials found within the City of Peterborough [sic] within Peterborough County. As time allows, in conjunction with other group members, other northern townships will also be inventoried under the same criteria.
